Aberdare National Park Tour and Samburu Game Reserve Safari

Day 1: Nairobi - Aberdare National Park
Depart Nairobi in the morning for Aberdare National park arriving at the base hotel, Outspan, in time for lunch. After lunch transfer to Treetops lodge for Dinner and overnight. Floodlit game viewing from the balcony of your lodge.

ABERDARE NATIONAL PARK
In this range of mountains everything is on a grand scale. The highest is 13,120 feet. Mutant Alpine plants include the 18 feet high Seneccio - flowering only once in 20 years! Huge trees cover the lower foothills. This fairyland of awesome majesty and beauty - a unique ecosystem is fuelled by the perpetual and sometimes heavy rains. Teeming with fish, crystal clear streams feed icy rivers, which plunge in glorious waterfalls, the grandest acquiring its name from Thompson who explored the area in 1883. At its east lies The Ark and Treetops on the Elephant migration trek to Mt. Kenya. You may also see the Rhino.

Day 2: Aberdare National Park - Samburu National Park
Afrter breakfast and depart the Aberdare National Park for Samburu National Reserve arriving at this northern game park (that is known for its "peculiar" wildlife species) in time for lunch. An afternoon game viewing tour to flash out the numerous wildlife that is found here. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Day 3: Samburu National Park
Full day in Samburu with morning and afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Samburu and Buffalo Springs Game Reserve: These National Game Reserves are situated in the northern part of Kenya, on the fringes of the hot and sparsely populated dry region. They attract a different range of wildlife species unique to the area, among which are the gerenuk, the beisa's oryx, the reticulated giraffe, the blue legged ostrich and the grevy's zebra.

Day 4: Samburu National Park - Nairobi
After breakfast depart for Nairobi arriving at 1400 hours.
