Tanzania Flying Safaris, Flying Tours in Tanzania Ngorongoro Crater Flying Tour - 3 Days Day 1 Nairobi/Arusha/Ngorongoro Day 2 Ngorongoro Ngorongoro Crater is one of the world’s greatest natural spectacles, its magical setting and abundant wildlife never failing to enthrall visitors. The rich pasture and permanent water of the crater floor supports a large resident population of wildlife of up to 25,000-predominantly grazing animals. These include wildebeest, Zebra, Gazelle, Buffalo, Eland, Kongoni and warthog. The swamp and forest provide additional resources for these animals. The steep inner slopes provide a habitat for dikdik and the rare mountain reedbuck. Lerai Forest is found in the south west of the crater and it shelters Eland, Elephant, Vervet monkeys, bushbuck, tree hyrax, francoline, saddle-billed stork, vulture and eagle. A picnic site is located in the forest. Lions are abundant in the crater. There are five main crater prides of between 10 and 20 animals, each defending its own territory. The bull elephants descend regularly to the crater floor. The large breeding herds wander throughout the forest rim where they find the most suitable food. Day 3 Ngorongoro – Arusha/Nairobi Serengeti National Park Air Safari -3 Days
Day 2 Serengeti Serengeti National Park which covers 14,763 sq km, is flourishing with magnificent wildlife. It lies between the shores of Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the South, and the Great Rift Valley to the east. As such, it offers the most complex and least disturbed ecosystem on earth. The park features endless rolling plains, and is contiguous with Masai Mara National Park in Kenya. Serengeti is known as one of the best wildlife sanctuary in the world and an estimated 3 million large animals roam the plains. On it its vast, treeless plains are tens of thousands of hoofed animals, constantly on the move in search of fresh grassland. One of the Serengeti’s main attractions is the annual migration of wildebeest herds in search for better grazing. Every October and November, more than a million wildebeest and about 220,000 Zebras travel south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the tropical rains, and then journey west and north after the long rains in April to June. Day 3 Serengeti – Nairobi/Arusha Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Tour - 5 Days Day 1 Nairobi/Arusha – Serengeti Day 2 Serengeti A unique combination of diverse habitats enables the Serengeti National Park to support more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500 species of birds. Its landscape, originally formed by volcanic activity, has been sculptured by the concerted action of wind, rain and sun. It now varies from open grass plains in the south, savannah with scattered acacia trees in the centre, hilly, wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. Small rivers, lakes and swamps are scattered throughout. In the south-east rise the great volcanic massifs and craters of the Ngorongoro Highlands. Each area has its own particular atmosphere and wildlife. The Serengeti boasts large herds of antelope including Patterson’s eland, Zebra, gazelles, lion, leopard, Cheetah, Hyena, Impala, and large herds of giraffes. Nearly 500 species of birds have been recorded in the park. The Serengeti is an opportunity for one of the best game- viewing in Africa.
